Are Vibration Exercise machines Really Effective for Weight-loss

One thing that most people have in common is the battle to lose weight and get in shape. This task sounds simple but in real life is very difficult and many programs have been created to assist people in losing the weight. Whole-body vibration machines were introduced to North America about ten years ago and have really gotten a lot of momentum in the past few years. They are now used by professional sports teams, Olympic athletes, therapists, chiropractors and in weight-loss clinics all over America. The brands that are most common are VibraSlim and Power Plate and although they both produce vibration exercise machines, they are completely different. Power Plate vibrating machines are more suited for sports training and VibraSlim is for everyday people that want to get in shape and lose weight. Now I’m no athlete so I will focus on the VibraSlim fitness machine.

In researching this article I found almost 700 medical research reports on the benefits of vibration exercise over at www.pubmed.gov. They found an impressive amount of benefits including, increased bone density (osteoporosis), increased muscle strength, better flexibility, joint pain reduction, increased HGH levels, and faster metabolism, just to name a few. I also found a weight-loss report on VibraSlim’s website that was presented at the “European Congress on Obesity” that had groundbreaking results and has caused a stir in the weight loss community. The report found that using whole-body vibration machines dieters lost up to four times the fat when compared to dieters doing conventional exercise. Even more exciting was that after six months the vibration fitness group had maintained their weight-loss and the conventional exercise group had gained all of the weight back. My dieting friends out there know this as the Yo-Yo effect. Vibration exercise, they found resets the bodies weight set point, this is what your body thinks it should weigh.

So why are these machines not everywhere? Well it turns out vibration fitness is the fastest growing fitness program according to Muscle and Fitness Magazine. So after learning all of that I was really intrigued in vibrating machines. I am looking at the VibraSlim Europlate machine as it is affordable and does not take up very much space. It also comes with a DVD training video, has a lifetime motor warranty and they offer free Fedex shipping. If you want o learn more about vibration exercise visit www.vibraslim.com where they have a ton of information and videos for you.
